A leading chemicals business based in South Cambridge is looking to recruit an Analytical Technician to join their Quality Control team. Analytical Technician responsibilities You’ll support day-to-day manufacturing operations by carrying out a range of analytical tests in a laboratory setting. Your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials, accurately capturing and reporting data, and ensuring that all work complies with relevant internal and external standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of analytical tests in line with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Evaluate and record results with technical accuracy Maintain laboratory equipment and chemical stocks Support lab operations to ensure smooth and compliant workflows Work across multiple tasks, maintaining high standards and consistency Analytical Technician requirements Essential: Degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent lab-based experience Hands-on experience with techniques such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS, UV spectroscopy, and wet chemistry Solid understanding of GLP Proficient in MS Office applications Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Desirable: Familiarity with chromatography data systems Knowledge of regulatory and quality systems, particularly GLP environments Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and quick to learn Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure Conscientious and able to prioritise effectively Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach Hours: 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) 25 days holiday bank holidays Pension: 5% company contribution Life Assurance: 4x salary On-site parking Training and development opportunities Cycle to Work and Electric Vehicle schemes Regular team social events This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their technical skills in a supportive and innovative environment.
