SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure the smooth and efficient running of reception working with the Reservations Manager and Reception team to ensure the highest of standards are continually achieved exceeding guest(s) satisfaction at every opportunity.
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
* Greet guests on arrival and in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner.
* Ensure effective room management, maximizing total room sales potential within the hotel.
* Ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of your department product, in addition to being aware of the hotel facilities and have excellent local knowledge of the area satisfying any guest(s) enquiries.
* To continuously promote sales within Reception and across the hotel up selling at every opportunity.
* To deal with any guest's complaints in a professional manner, immediately notifying the manager on duty.
* To take all reservations accurately, recording relevant details and ensuring accurateness for billing purposes.
* Build an excellent rapport with Guests, Corporate Clients, and with travel agents as appropriate.
* A background in office/reception work is an advantage, but not necessary as full training will be given.
* Shifts include Evening and Weekends
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
