Accounts Payable Clerk Location: Carlisle Job type: Permanent Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Salary : Experience Dependent We’re proud to be supporting a well-established and respected organisation at their Head Office in Carlisle, as they look to welcome an Accounts Payable Clerk to their busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts experience and excellent stakeholder skills to step into a senior role and make a real impact. Key responsibilities: Act as a senior point of contact for suppliers and internal teams Accurately process and code supplier invoices in line with company procedures Oversee weekly supplier payment runs and manage employee expenses Assist with statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies Lead on internal training and support for the Accounts Payable team Promote Accounts Payable automation tools and support with process improvements Support the Accounts Payable Supervisor with workload distribution and achieving team targets Champion change and contribute to a positive, proactive finance culture Maintain compliance with company policies and financial controls About you: Previous experience in a fast-paced Accounts Payable environment Strong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and VLookUps) Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills Comfortable supporting colleagues and training across different seniority levels Positive, proactive attitude with a strong eye for detail Driven to make improvements and contribute to team success A practical problem-solver who takes initiative Apply today, or for more information, please call Simon Kean on 01228 812585.
