Stock Lending Middle Office & Settlements Operations Manager (will look at “Senior Analyst" and “Manager” levels, as well as strong global Equity & Fixed Income Settlements exp too)
Martis Search are proud to represent a City of London based global Investment Bank that is going through a huge and continued growth phase (in very difficult market conditions) to hire a “Stock Lending Middle Office & Settlements Operations Manager” SME situated within their Prime Brokerage Middle Office (sitting on their Trading floor). This is also a new and growing Stock Lending Trading desk – so is a super-exciting opportunity.
Our client is looking for either:
* A Stock Lending Operations/ Security Lending Operations SME with sound working knowledge gained from Equities and Fixed Income Securities Lending Operations.
Or
* A strong International Equity & Fixed Income Settlements Analyst who either has exposure to Stock Lending Settlements, or has the ability to pick up Stock Lending Settlements quickly.
Our client is open for someone to be a "Senior" Settlements/ Trade Support role level, or even a (hands-on) Settlements/ Trade Support Supervisor, or Manager level (Equities, Fixed Income, Stock Lending).
In addition, the role is a front-to-back full trade life cycle role, but is heavily focused on International Settlements. The processes are still new and likely more manual atm than thet need to be, so you have to be able to deal with this and thrive in a new start-up environment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing expert knowledge on securities lending, managing margining collateral processes, handling billings and settlements, overseeing corporate actions and static data.
Our client is looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the Stock Lending Operation trade life cycle, including Collateral Management, Triparty, Corporate Actions, Cash Management and Billings procedures.
You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with senior management on strategic projects. This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities that will allow you to leverage your skills while contributing to the success of a leading financial services platform.
Please note though, that this role is 5-days per week in the office, with no option to work-from-home, but does offer very reasonable working hours.
The role is based on their Trading floor and supports their London based, but also global Prime Brokerage Trading teams. The division is a massively expanding global business and our client trades with and support global Hedge Funds (unprecedented growth in the last 5-years).
The management are willing and open to sharing their extensive knowledge and are willing to pass this onto the chosen incumbent (both Senior Operations Managers, but also their global MD’s and Senior Front Office Trading Directors – everyone is approachable!).
The position requires someone with a minimum of 3-years Stock Lending Operations/ Security Lending Operations experience (i.e. Stock Lending Operations/ Security Lending Operations Trade Support & Settlements, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Client Services, Static Data etc), who is:
* Genuinely willing to learn all parts of the job.
* Able to multi-task.
* Give their own ideas (once you have a good grasp of the BAU day-to-day Middle Office tasks).

Salary
Between £60 k pa - £80 k pa dependent upon experience, plus discretionary annual bonus, pension, healthcare, life assurance and more.
