SEN Teaching Assistant – Opportunities via Teaching Personnel

A SEN/PRU Primary School in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Responsibilities
* You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing the best support possible to students aged 4–11 with various SEN and behavioural difficulties (e.g., ADHD, ADD, ASD, CD, MLD, OCD, ODD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties and other behavioural needs).
Who We Are Looking For
* Applicant must be comfortable working in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit)
* A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children
* SEMH/mental health experience in or out of an educational setting
* Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
* Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
* Able to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely
Working Hours & Benefits
* Full time and flexible availability applicants will be considered for this role
* Monday and Tuesday = 08:30 – 16:00
* Wednesday and Thursday = 08:30 – 15:15
* Friday = 08:30 – 15:00

* 12.07% Holiday Pay
