Job Title: Legal Counsel - 12 Month FTC Contract Length: 12 Months Location: Oxfordshire Salary: Competitive Working Pattern: Hybrid working
Key Responsibilities of a Legal Counsel - 12 Month FTC:
* Offering comprehensive legal guidance to various departments within the organisation, such as Procurement, IT, Marketing, People, Sales, and Operations, with a particular focus on contractual matters
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements while overseeing the legal aspects of diverse business initiatives
* Identifying and evaluating risks, ensuring clear and effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders
* Collaborating across functions on major projects while independently managing smaller or strategic tasks.
* Providing practical advice on contract disputes and interpretation, emphasising commercially sound decision-making rather than solely focusing on legal risk assessment.
Essential Skills & Experience
* The ideal candidate would be 2+ years PQE with a background within corporate or commercial law, ideal experience would come from a reputable private practice or in-house organisation
* Experience working with high-value contracts and complex matters.
* Ability to deal with a range of large (but not exclusively) contractual projects.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
