Apricus Resourcing are working with a local council authority in regards to an Business Support Administrator role they have available within Newport. The role is initially based for the next 4-weeks with a view to extend. You’ll be working on a full time basis 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Key Duties for the role include: * Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all elements of financial systems. To ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures and guidelines. * Responsible for identifying and recovering any overpayments made, with autonomy to agree payment plans within an agreed framework. * To ensure goods and services are acquired via agreed methods of procurement. * To manage, maintain and verify performance information using systems, including information analysis, and production and dissemination of reports. * To communicate with partner agencies, colleagues and management to provide information, help and advice. * To be a first point of contact for teams within the service, to provide information and guidance, and to resolve queries to support the efficient operation of the teams. * To make all arrangements for meetings, including production of accurate minutes, recording decisions made and carrying out associated tasks, as agreed with management. * To support and assist with service projects. * To safeguard essential IT equipment, corporate accounts and security of data, and to comply with relevant corporate policies. * Undertake other specific duties in line with the requirements of the service area.
