We’re looking for someone with a gift for helping everyone to feel welcome to join us as a Welcome Manager at Chedworth Roman Villa, leading our small but vital welcome team. Salary: £13.74 per hour. Contract : Permanent Duration/ Working pattern: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year, 1365 hours per year. Requirement to work regular weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis. Please note the property is closed during November and December, there are staff still working at property though the Welcome Manager works on significantly reduced hours. What it's like to work here Chedworth Roman Villa is a unique archaeological site set in a secluded coombe near Cirencester and an inspiring place to work. There is a strong sense of community at the property and you will play your part by leading a small but experienced team of five Welcome Service Assistants to deliver exceptional service to our visitors. You will report to the Property Operations Manager and be part of the Property Leadership Team and wider Gloucestershire Portfolio. What you'll be doing You’ll lead and manage our team of welcome and service assistants and volunteers. You’ll be responsible for making sure that day-to-day operations run smoothly in the all-important welcome area. You’ll inspire and care for your team, encouraging them to give the highest standards of service and to help grow our charitable income. You and your team will be focused on helping everyone you meet to have their best possible day, whatever it takes. You’ll be using good judgement and decision making to lead from the front, in line with National Trust guidelines, values and policies. Working with the Property Operations Manager you will manage the rotas for our Learning Facilitators who support the many children and young people who visit the site with their schools. You will be part of the Property Leadership Team working collaboratively with your colleagues both on property and across the portfolio, to deliver on budgets and visitor growth. You'll regularly act as duty manager for the whole site, with specific responsibilities including safeguarding, cash and tills, fire, security and evacuation. You'll be the main point of contact for staff, volunteers and visitors in case of emergency, enquiries or complaints. You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached.
