Meraki Talent is looking for a strategic Head of Marketing and Communications to lead the development and delivery of an integrated marketing, communications, and media strategy for a dynamic membership organisation.
You will be focusing on the overall strategy to engage a diverse audience spanning professionals, academics, and partner organisations, ensuring a strong, consistent voice across all channels.
Working closely with the Director, you will play a key leadership role in positioning the organisation, amplifying its influence, and driving membership growth and engagement.
Marketing and communications Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with organisational objectives
* Lead the planning and execution of multiple concurrent marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent tone of voice and brand identity across all communications and digital channels
* Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content across web, email, social media, and publications, tailoring engagement approaches for professionals, academics, and organisations
* Translate organisational priorities into clear, compelling campaigns and communications plans
* Use insight, analytics, and audience understanding to inform strategy and decision-making, using data to optimise future activity
* Drive membership growth, retention, and engagement through targeted campaigns
* Develop and implement a proactive press and media engagement strategy
* Lead on the development and management of strategic partnerships and co-sponsorship opportunities
* Identify and cultivate relationships with aligned organisations to extend reach and impact
Person Specification
* Significant experience in a senior marketing and communications role, ideally within a membership, professional body, or not-for-profit environment
* Proven track record of developing and delivering successful marketing and communications strategies
* Experience managing multi-channel campaigns and diverse audience groups
* Strong background in media relations and press strategy
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
* Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions
* Collaborative and influential, with strong stakeholder management skills
