Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented House Manager/House Keeper to join our team, providing guests with an unforgettable stay in a baronial style, 12 bedroom, luxury holiday let. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high degree of cleanliness and orderliness in various environments and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work independently, whilst working alongside/reporting to the Estate Manager and the Owners of The Gart. We wish to find candidates with a passion for hospitality, who take pride in their work, and are looking to grow into this exciting role, in a prestigious setting.
Duties
* Proactive attitude to managing, scheduling and hiring cleaning staff. This is very important for general upkeep, cleanliness, and guest changeover days. You will also be expected to perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
* Ensure all rooms and common areas are kept tidy and well-maintained.
* Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues to the Estate Manager.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
* Organise and connect guests with events suppliers.
* Oversee and organise necessary maintenance works.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in the hospitality industry is necessary.
* A valid driving license is advantageous for travelling to work.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
* Ability to work a physically demanding job, maintaining and overseeing a five story holiday let.
