As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play an integral role within the care home, working as part of a small domestic team. Your role is to ensure the home is cleaned and maintained to a very high standard in line with the cleaning schedules to ensure our residents live in an exceptional environment. You will become part of the care home family and you are a key part of making our home a great place to live and work.

Responsibilities
* To ensure that all areas of the care home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents' and home’s needs.
* To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident's personal information at all times, including their right to privacy, dignity and choice.
* To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements relevant to such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, to ensure a safe and efficient laundry service in the home. Maintain awareness of Infection Control.
* To ensure all equipment used is in full, safe working order, promptly reporting any faults to both the Maintenance Person and the General Manager.
* To check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the manager of any shortages.
* Be an active and helpful member of the team, attend training sessions, and contribute to a friendly and supportive working environment.
Qualifications and requirements
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills.
* Willingness to follow cleaning schedules and health and safety guidelines.
* Capable of using cleaning equipment safely and reporting faults promptly.

Hours and pay
Hours of work: 08:00–17:00 on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on, followed by three consecutive shifts off, averaging 31.5 hours per week.
Hourly Rate of Pay: £13.00
