Role Overview
This role is based at Felden Hall School, an independent specialist day school in Hemel Hempstead that provides high‑quality education for boys and girls aged 5‑16 with special educational needs, including ADHD, autism, speech, language and communication difficulties, and social‑emotional difficulties. The role will open in Spring 2026 and involves working as part of a multi‑disciplinary clinical team to support educational and residential colleagues, delivering individualized therapeutic interventions, and fostering a therapeutic living and learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide individualised therapeutic interventions to young people with complex needs, based on clinical assessment and formulation.
* Collaborate with educational and residential teams to embed therapeutic support throughout the school and home settings.
* Deliver consultation, workshops, training and guidance to staff on supporting children and young people.
* Contribute to the development of therapeutic living and learning environments and assist in the planning of whole‑school activities.
* Receive regular supervision and support for continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
* Specialist experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
* Demonstrated ability to support teams and deliver clinically informed interventions.
* Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills.
* Highly organised, proactive, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
* Experience in a multi‑disciplinary team and CPD supervision.
* Valid driver’s licence for occasional travel.
