Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Cardiology Department as a full‑time Band 4 Associate Clinical Physiologist. This varied role includes analysing ambulatory monitors, reviews and downloaded blood pressure recordings, and supporting the specialised pacing and remote monitoring services. You will assist with patient care, paperwork, and service record maintenance, and act as second operator during exercise testing and CPEX. The role also supports ACHD shuttle tests when required. Applicants should have ECG department experience, strong ECG interpretation skills, and be working towards the Diploma in Electrocardiography. Duties also include stock management, equipment checks and appointment support.
Main duties of the job
As part of the dynamic and supportive team, you will analyse all ambulatory monitors, download blood pressure recordings, and provide support to the highly specialised pacing service and remote monitoring service. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate service records, assisting patients and associated paperwork, providing operational support, acting as the second operator for exercise testing and CPET, and supporting the ACHD team during shuttle tests and other required procedures. Additional duties include responsibility for stock management, ordering non‑stock items as required, supporting equipment maintenance, and assisting with the arrangement of patient appointments.

Qualifications (Essential)
* Maths and English Grade C and above
Qualifications (Desirable)
* ECG proficiency qualification
* SCST Diploma in ECG interpretation (or working towards)
Experience (Essential)
* Extensive experience within a Cardiology department
* Knowledge of ETT and tape analysis
* Excellent ECG interpretation and reporting skills
Experience (Desirable)
* Experience with HUTT
* Experience with 6MWT
* Experience with CPET

* Good communication skills
* Excellent report interpretation
* Skill to work with staff of all levels throughout the trust
