️ Damp & Mould Operative – Social Housing (West & North Yorkshire) Location: Mobile across West & North Yorkshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours/week)
The Role
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Damp & Mould Operative to join a housing association’s responsive repairs team. You’ll play a key role in improving living conditions for residents by diagnosing and treating damp and mould issues, carrying out remedial repairs, and supporting preventative measures across tenanted properties.This is a mobile role, covering properties across West and North Yorkshire, requiring independence, professionalism, and a strong understanding of damp and mould remediation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct inspections and triage of damp and mould cases
2. Diagnose root causes and apply appropriate treatment solutions
3. Carry out multi-trade repairs including: Joinery (including fire door remedials) Patch plastering Basic plumbing Decorating and general maintenance
4. Use smart devices to log work and report oues
5. Provide advice to tenants on managing and preventing damp and mould
6. Escalateplex cases to surveyors or technical teams as needed
What You’ll Need
7. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade ( Carpentry, Joinery, Plastering)
8. Proven, hands-on experience in damp and mould treatment is essential
9. Full UK driving licence
10. Ability to work independently and professionally in occupied homes
11. Basic DBS check (required prior to start)
