Overview

The School of Health Sciences is offering an exciting full time, permanent opportunity for an aspiring or experienced lecturer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area, and it is desirable that the candidate has current registration with a relevant healthcare professional body (e.g. the NMC, HCPC). For this post we are particularly interested in applicants who can support the delivery of the School’s leadership and management modules at pre-registration and post-graduate programmes. The School is interprofessional and sits within the College of Medicine and Health, providing health and care education and research at Bangor University. It works in partnership with health, social and educational care providers to enable a total clinical and academic experience for children’s nursing students. The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and short courses for health and care professionals. We hold an Athena SWAN Bronze award and, for this post, Welsh language ability is desirable. The post is available on our teaching and scholarship career track with induction, mentorship, and opportunities to undertake a PGCERT in Advanced HE. The successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to teaching and learning across the School’s portfolio of programmes and to wider delivery reflecting their professional and teaching specialisms. The role is located on campus at Bangor, with potential for some remote work under our Dynamic Working framework and part-time or job-share options. The successful candidate will commence as soon as possible and the post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. Applications are via the online recruitment website, with paper options available on request. Informal enquiries can be made to Dr Elizabeth Mason. The closing date for applications is 13 October 2025.
