Induction Tuesday 1st July! (1.00pm)
Our client is a well-established Animal Feed Manufacturing company. Innovative and dynamic, they are constantly pursuing new ways to improve the services and products they offer. An opportunity has arisen for a Machine Operator (Press) to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.
The position will involve an extensive array of tasks right through the whole manufacturing process including operation of our feed press.
Duties include:
• Operate the press installation according to the right specifications.
• Follow production schedule.
• Ensure the product meets quality specifications.
• Running the pellet plant & operating the all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Following SOPs to receive materials and load feed materials in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow SOPs to manufacture feed to the highest quality and to ensure feed safety standards are followed at all times.
• Perform sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured.
• Assist with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products.
• Determine proper routing and distribution for manufactured feeds to appropriate holding bins.
• Assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to all health & safety policies.
• Effectively communicate and liaise with managers and co-workers.
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned, with potential to work at our second mill 2 miles away.
Requirements:
* Able to work in a dusty environment
* Eagerness to learn
An FLT licence would be beneficial to this role but it not a requirement.
Experience in animal feed milling is preferable but training can be given. Good mechanical know-how, attention to detail and a reliable attitude is essential.
