The location of the role is Stevenage.
The duration of the contract is 12 months.
The pay rate on offer is £16 per hour (via PAYE - 37.5 hours per week).
Role Summary
The Research Technician - Method Development is responsible for delivering results in developing and evaluating next-gen chromatography media.
This position reports to the Manager, Analytical Methods, and is part of the Fibro R&D department located in Stevenage and will be an on-site role.
Key accountabilities of the role
1. Support the design, execution, and documentation of method optimisation experiments for analytical methods related to membrane chromatography products.
2. Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing, ensuring accurate and reliable data generation.
3. Prepare clear, concise reports and maintain proper documentation of experimental results.
4. Provide support to ensure laboratory compliance to Environment Health & Safety regulations
5. Collaborate with scientists to support development activities in monoclonal antibody purification workflows.
Key skills and experience
6. You will have a Master's degree in a bioscience-based subject
7. You will have at least 1 year of experience using AKTA systems
8. You will have experience working in a regulated lab
Desirable experience
9. Preparing presentations and written reports to support decision-making in multifaceted projects
10. Working in cross-disciplinary teams
11. Use of SEC-HPLC or ProA-HPLC
12. Familiar with Analytical Method Development
