At Moylena Court and Cedar Court, we provide 24-hour supported living for adults with enduring mental health conditions. Our service is made up of shared living at Moylena Court, where residents enjoy a strong sense of community, and more independent bungalows at Cedar Court, where support is provided flexibly based on individual needs.This is a role for someone who brings kindness, initiative and a team spirit, and who wants to support people to live independently, with dignity and confidence.


Responsibilities

* Develop & maintain a trusting & professional relationship with Service Users and act in a supportive & empathetic manner towards them.
* Contribute to & help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
* Support Service Users to manage their Mental health, physical health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual wellbeing and safety management plans.
* Actively encourage the involvement of Service Users in all aspects of decision making, be sensitive and seek solutions to difficulties encountered by them.
* Deliver care & support within the context of a social inclusion and recovery approach which is designed to work with people to find and maintain hope, re-establish a positive identity, build a meaningful life and take responsibility and control.


Skills and Qualifications

* To be flexible as the role will involve working on a rota/shift basis in Supported Housing. Shifts will include early shifts, late shifts, night shifts, weekend and/or night cover as required to meet the needs of the scheme.
* Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.OR
* Or: a minimum of 12 months' paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
* Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
* Experience of maintaining service user and agency records.
* Working knowledge of using IT systems.
