Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Fixer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of construction and repair skills, allowing them to tackle various tasks effectively. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Fixer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving facilities, ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
* Perform roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure structural integrity.
* Carry out plumbing tasks, including installation and repair of pipes and fixtures.
* Execute welding projects for metal structures and components.
* Apply electrical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues in wiring and systems.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
* Engage in general construction activities, including building frameworks and structures.
* Conduct plastering work to prepare surfaces for painting or finishing.
* Fabricate components as required for specific projects.
* Perform carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and installing building materials.
* Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
* Undertake construction painting duties to enhance the appearance of facilities.
* Execute masonry work, including bricklaying and stonework.
Requirements
* Proven experience in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or related fields.
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks.
* Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
* Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
* Experience in plastering, fabrication, carpentry, painting, and masonry is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks.
