Role Overview
The Behaviour Support Assistant builds strong 1:1 relationships with pupils, guiding them positively and serving as a role model. The role requires resilience to behavioural challenges and the ability to think quickly to de-escalate situations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience working with primary and secondary pupils in a school setting is preferred but not essential.
* Interest in sports or physical activities is advantageous, as engaging pupils in outdoor activities can be part of the support strategy.
* Driving license is preferred due to off-site activities.
* A full enhanced DBS check is required.
