Your new role
As Payroll Officer, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for over 200 employees. You’ll manage pension contributions, HMRC returns, travel and subsistence claims, and ensurepliance with current legislation and internal policies. You’ll also respond to payroll-related queries from staff and management, maintain payroll databases, and support reporting and reconciliation tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll have at least 2 years’ experience in a payroll function, includingputerised payroll and pension administration for large employee groups. Alternatively, 4 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and public sector legislation is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential data. A full UK driving licence and access to transport is required.
