We're working with a leading accommodation services provider in Hatfield (AL10) to recruit a Helpdesk Operator / Administrative Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys helping people and keeping things running smoothly.
You'll be part of a friendly facilities management team, supporting the daily operation of student accommodation and ensuring a high standard of service for residents, clients, and contractors.
📍 Location: Hatfield (AL10)
💷 Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (some shift rotation may apply)
🚀 Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for students, visitors, and contractors - providing support and resolving queries promptly.
Log and monitor maintenance, cleaning, and service requests through the helpdesk system.
Manage incoming calls and emails, ensuring a timely and professional response.
Provide general administrative support to the Facilities Management team.
Assist with post handling, student arrivals/departures, and summer conference support.
About You
You'll be successful in this role if you:
Have previous experience in a customer service or administrative environment (ideally fast-paced).
Communicate clearly and confidently - both in person and in writing.
Can multitask, prioritise, and stay organised under pressure.
Are approachable, reliable, and take pride in delivering excellent service.
