Reporting to the Manager, the Food Safety & Quality Team Leader will provide effective support in running production lines in accordance with product specifications, company standards, and procedures regarding Hygiene, Safety, Quality, Quantity, and Cost. The role will have responsibility for providing support, direction, and leadership within the team. Working closely with the Management Team, the Team Leader will be responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of the product.
Departmental Responsibilities
1. Monitoring Production Line Standards in Quality, Safety, and Process.
2. Employee Performance & Development.
3. Supporting the Management of the shift.
Main Duties
1. Providing leadership, direction, and support within the team to achieve targets and deadlines.
2. Collaborating with the Management Team to drive departmental efficiency while maintaining quality standards and adherence to specifications.
3. Planning, organizing, and managing labor resources to meet departmental plans.
4. Working constructively with all departments including Production, Engineering, NPD, HR, and H&S.
5. Maintaining health, safety, hygiene, and food quality standards according to company policies.
6. Demonstrating a proven track record in a similar role, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
7. Having a clear understanding of food hygiene, food safety, HACCP, health and safety, and quality systems.
8. Driving results and improving departmental performance.
9. Exercising strong people management skills to develop and enhance team performance.
10. Organizing workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
11. Exhibiting leadership qualities, confidence, and responsibility.
12. Maintaining strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and proficiency in computer operations.
13. Developing effective working relationships across departments.
