We are soon expanding our successful nursery business. We are looking to employ a part time leader for our after school and breakfast club provision that we will be operating from our neighbouring primary school.
Main Purpose
·To be responsible for the development and daily running of the Breakfast and After school Club, providing a safe and caring environment in line with statutory guidance, where children can enjoy a range of play, learning, and leisure activities.
·To organise a daily routine that meets the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual needs of the children.
·To build links with and work in partnership with parents and professionals to promote the wellbeing of the children.
Responsibilities
* To manage the Breakfast and After school club, supervising staff, parents and volunteers (if applicable) to ensure the children are supervised at all times.
* To plan and develop engaging and age-appropriate activities, taking into account individual needs and interests.
* To maintain open communication with parents, other staff, and other professionals involved in the children’s lives.
* To maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and any other relevant information.
* To carry out basic administration and financial procedures, with support from the Nursery Manager and Deputy.
* To administer basic first aid as required.
* To identify any Safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and other professionals as appropriate, whilst preserving confidentiality at all times.
* To consult with the parents and the children regarding the quality of provision and to regularly undertake self evaluation of the OOSC.

Qualifications and Training
* Good standard of general education
* A childcare qualification
* Willingness to attend training, where necessary
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Relevant First Aid training
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Safeguarding Training
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* An understanding of relevant national regulations and guidance
* Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, and Equality and Diversity
* Be able to plan, prepare and deliver a variety of activities for children on a daily basis
* Be able to act as a role model for all children
* To provide and facilitate an inclusive, safe and creative environment
* Be able to work on own initiative and use sound judgement
* Be able to maintain confidentiality inside and outside of the work place
* Previous experience of working with young children.

Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 7.15am - 9.15am, 3.15pm - 6.15pm
Salary; £13.50 per hour.
