The Clinical Matron will be accountable for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care within the Surgery Care Group. They will be easily identifiable to clients and users, providing strong, visible leadership with the appropriate authority to support patients, their families, and carers. The key focus areas will include Patient Safety, Patient Experience, user engagement, quality care, and clinical outcomes.
The post holder will have clinical and managerial responsibility for a defined clinical portfolio within the Surgery Care Group, including the Intensive Care Unit. They will also lead clinical responsibilities supporting high-quality service delivery, managing activity levels, service pressures, patient flow, and maintaining standards of care. They will lead delegated projects and provide operational support, deputising as appropriate.
The role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record of delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care. Drawing on your expertise, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence, aligning with the Trust's Transformation agenda and Strategy.
