Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) are excited to be looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team.
Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques.
The core business of TRT Ltd is the repair of turbine blades and vanes for Civil Aerospace industrial gas turbine engines.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting role within the Maintenance team. As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery. You will report to the Operations Manager and work alongside the Maintenance Supervisors. You will have an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering related qualification and the types of machinery you will be working with are CNC machines, PLC’s, Vacuum Furnaces, PVD, LPPS etc.
Primary Accountabilities:
* To carry out scheduled preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks.
* To carry out vacuum leak detection and leak rate testing
* To become familiar with machine operations, both CNC and PLC
* To maintain spare part stock levels
* To check calibration status of instruments and gauges
* To liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager on improvement initiatives for Company equipment.
* To complete maintenance logs.
* To provide maintenance cover during weekend production periods as required.
* To work closely with Engineering and Production to schedule maintenance activities, to reduce down time and improve quality.
* To carry out maintenance in support of general maintenance activities within the Company.
* To ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements, to include general and personal risk assessments.
* To follow Company health and safety guidelines and safety instruction of equipment and risk assessments.
* To follow the quality procedures of the Company where applicable.
Requirements:
Education:
* Electrical/Mechanical Engineering related qualification (e.g. City Guilds, BTEC, NVQ or minimum 3 years of practical experience within a similar role)
Experience:
* Relevant experience in a similar role e.g. Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, Electro-Mechanical Engineer
* Experience in related industry
* Up to date and familiar with CNC and PLC machine operations
* Electrical experience is desirable
* Mechanical experience is desirable
* Solid and working knowledge of 3 phase
* Solid working knowledge on panel boards
* Excellent fault-finding skills
The successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.
PARTICULARS:
SALARY: £17.43 per hour + 15% Shift Premium
HOURS: 39 hours per week – Monday - Friday 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00*
