You will provide efficient administrative and advisory support to the Employee Relations Team, acting as a first point of contact for HR enquiries across the Trust. The role supports the delivery of employee relations processes including disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work and sickness absence cases, co‑ordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and maintaining accurate records on HR systems. The post holder will deliver a high standard of customer care, handle sensitive matters professionally, and work closely with Managers and Advisors to support effective case management. The role includes studying towards a CIPD‑accredited qualification alongside practical experience in an NHS environment.
The post holder in this role will study and complete the Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship with CIPD accreditation, with support for study time and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, delivering a responsive and professional advice service to managers and employees across the Trust.
* Provide effective admin, co‑ordination and project support to the ER Team, ensuring the smooth running of the service.
* Support ER Managers and Advisors with HR processes.
* Prepare correspondence and documentation, populating letters from meeting notes and producing case timelines.
* Co‑ordinate meetings, hearings and appeals (diary management, room bookings, agenda preparation, minute‑taking).
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records on HR systems (HR case management system, ESR).
* Monitor professional registration compliance, liaising with managers across the Trust as required.
* Handle confidential information appropriately, including post, case documentation, filing and archiving.
* Maintain professionalism when dealing with sensitive, complex or emotional situations.
* Undertake relevant training and study towards a CIPD‑accredited qualification alongside the role.
