We're looking for an Inspection and testing Electrical Engineer In who will undertake the EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) and Fixed Wire Inspection & Testing across our client sites.

Hours: 42 hours 4 on 4 off mainly Nights
Pay: £47, - £50, plus 10 % shift allowance

Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) and Fixed Wire Inspection & Testing across our client sites.
The successful candidate will ensure all electrical installations are inspected, tested, and reported in line with the latest regulatory standards, delivering high‑quality compliance and safety assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Testing
- Conduct EICR inspections on commercial and industrial,electrical installations.
- Perform fixed wire testing (Periodic Inspection & Testing) in accordance with BS IET Wiring Regulations.
- Identify faults, defects, deviations, and non‑compliances within electrical systems.
Reporting & Documentation
- Produce accurate, detailed EICR reports using company reporting software.
- Clearly classify observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI codes.
- Maintain accurate test results, schedules of items tested, and certification documents.
- Provide recommendations and communicate critical findings to supervisors or clients.
Remedial Work
- Undertake minor remedial and repair works where required.
- Support the quoting and estimation process for larger remedial projects.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, minimising disruption on-site.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere strictly to BS, Electricity at Work Regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Ensure all testing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and used correctly.
- Participate in toolbox talks, training, and internal audits.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
- 18th Edition (BS ) qualification.
- City & Guilds -52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent testing qualification.
- Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing.
Strong understanding of electrical safety, regulatory requirements, and testing procedures and Ability to produce clear, professional, accurate reports.
Full UK driving license.
Full DV (Developed Vetting) client security clearance is required for role, must hold UK passport and have a clear 10 year UK footprint
Desirable
- Experience working in commercial or industrial environments.
- IPAF, PASMA or ECS/CSCS Card.
- Knowledge of CAFM or digital reporting tools.
