Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician looking for your next challenge? Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Wrexham, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join their Maintenance team.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, youll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of plant and machinery. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Duties:
* Diagnosing and repairing faults across medium to heavy industrial machinery.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
* Implementing engineering modifications to improve equipment reliability.
* Collaborating with both the maintenance and manufacturing teams.
* Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
* Operating lifting and handling equipment safely and correctly.
* Working to a continuous shift pattern, with overtime as required to cover absences.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
* Time-served and qualified to a minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, brazing, and rigging.
* Experience with high-pressure steam systems and safety-focused maintenance.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent software.
* A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong team spirit.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
