The Essentials
Location: Fully onsite - Hove HQ
We can currently only accept applications from candidates who are located and have long-term Working rights in the UK.
Start date: Flexible, we’re driven by talent timelines
Hours: Monday to Friday, with flexible start times at 8am, 9am or 10am
Interview process: 3–4 stages total, completed in ~3-4 weeks
The Role
Your role is to drive new business and fuel Akkar’s next stage of growth.
We’re looking for an ambitious Senior Recruitment Consultant who’s hungry to build something of their own, drive new business and fuel Akkar’s next stage of growth. You won’t need micromanaging. You know how to deliver, win clients and run a high-performing desk. You'll take full ownership of a 360 desk in one of our specialist verticals such as ADAS, AI, Embedded, Battery, or Motorsport. Your goal is to build deep candidate networks, win top-tier clients, and make deals that move industries forward.
Your Day-to-Day
* Run a full-cycle recruitment desk from business development to candidate placement.
* Own and grow a defined niche, become the go-to expert in your space.
* Prospect, pitch and negotiate with new clients at pace.
* Manage candidates with professionalism and care - every touchpoint matters.
* Hit KPIs and billing targets with consistency and a high-performance mindset.
We think you'll thrive if you have…
* A proven track record in 360 recruitment (or high-performance sales with BD exposure).
* Experience negotiating and securing new client relationships.
* A self-starting attitude with a love for the chase and the close.
* Clear, confident communication and the ability to build real rapport.
* A strong sense of ownership, grit, and accountability.
* Experience working in a high-output, commercially competitive environment.
