Secondary English Teacher - The Role
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will:
* Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 may be available for suitable candidates)
* Plan and deliver inspiring lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and able to succeed
* Differentiate teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs
* Use assessment to drive progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with department colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices
* Contribute to enrichment and extracurricular opportunities within the English department and wider school community
Secondary English Teacher - Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - applications welcome from both experienced teachers and ECTs
* A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for literature and language
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* A reflective approach and willingness to engage with professional development opportunities
Secondary English Teacher - Salary & Benefits
The school offers a competitive salary in line with the Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale (MPS 1 - UPS 3 Inner London), depending on experience and qualifications.
