Resident Associate reports to the LPN Charge or RN Nurse and is responsible for caring for residents in skilled nursing unit under the directions of nursing and medical staff, by performing some following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to, the following principal and essential job duties. Other duties may be assigned. Changes bed linens and washes resident's laundry. Prompts resident to dress, bathe, and groom self. Participates with resident in life enrichment activities. Maintains records of services performed. Maintains work areas in a clean and sanitary condition, i.e., laundry room, staff lounge, workstations, shower rooms, etc. Functions as escort to dining room, beauty shop, physical therapy, activities, etc. Assists residents with meal set-up. Makes daily rounds to ill residents and reports status of residents to supervisor. Keeps supervisor informed of all changes in resident status. Responds in person to all "emergency response call system" alerts. Attends all scheduled meetings as instructed (in-service training, educational and departmental). Accompany residents on appointments as needed to "Functions”. Assist with passing trays to meal set up. Make frequent rounds and monitor residents who are high falls risk to ensure safety. Ensure bed pans, urinals, basins are labeled as appropriate and properly stored. Assist with hydration and ensure ice carts are filled. Fill linen carts. QUALIFICATIONS Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing in the state of NC is required. 1 year minimal related experience and/or training is preferred but will hire new CNAs. HS Diploma or GED Experience in geriatrics care, SNF (healthcare) or LTC preferred. CPR certified or ability to obtain once hired. SHIFTS Multiple Full Time positions available (with every other weekend).
