Deputy Care Operations Manager (Keynsham)

* Support and transport vulnerable service users as part of a team.
* Attend the office within one hour during on-call shifts.
* Maintain an Enhanced DBS (organized and paid for during induction).
* Provide a professional and caring service for all patients.
* Prioritize patient safety at all times and adhere to safe systems of work.
* Support patient care during assessments in line with the Mental Health Act.
* Use company vehicles and equipment safely, prepare required paperwork, and drive locally and nationally.


Main duties of the job

Key Skills:

* Valid UK manual driving license for at least 1 year.
* Over 21 years old due to insurance requirements.
* Passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
* Reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.

This is a full-time role with a 46.25-hour contract on a 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern, alternating between days and nights.

Work times may change with notice; flexibility is required due to patient care needs.

Pay is at a blended rate of £14.09 per hour, with annual remuneration starting from £33,896.20 based on expected hours.

* Over-runs paid at £22 per hour.
* Enhanced pay of £1.20/hour for work at mental health safety places and bed watch activities.
* Shift pay enhancements of £1.75/hour for call-ins or overtime shifts.

Job responsibilities

* Enforce health & safety standards daily to ensure legislative compliance.
* Model quality patient care, uphold company values, policies, and procedures.
* Maintain a professional code of conduct and promote a respectful, professional environment.
* Monitor and improve patient care standards and foster a learning culture.
* Recruit, induct, develop, and retain team members.
* Motivate and communicate effectively with the team, providing coaching and support.
* Identify development needs and manage performance issues.
* Manage electronic data systems and resolve related issues promptly.
* Balance administrative duties with patient transition needs.
* Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.
* Achieve business KPIs and objectives.
* Maintain vehicle standards to the highest level.
* Support company initiatives and adapt to change.
* Manage rotas to optimize productivity and care standards.
* Use reports and data for decision-making, including timesheet approvals.
* Support teams during on-call periods.
* Develop business opportunities through networking and relationships.
* Uphold the SCUK brand and standards.
* Collaborate with departments for effective operations and compliance.
* Ensure all activities comply with legislation.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required.


Person Specification


Experience

* Valid UK manual driving license for at least 1 year.
* Experience in the care sector.


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
