Eleven 11 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for Residential Team Leader for an Ofsted-Regulated Children's Home.
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to support the management and development of their Ofsted-regulated childrens home. The role involves leading a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people. The Team Leader plays a vital role in upholding our client's ethos and ensuring that the home operates in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in children's residential care.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day leadership and support to care staff within the home.
Support the Registered and Deputy Managers in delivering safe, nurturing, and structured care.
Act as a positive role model for staff, children, and young people.
Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and child-centred culture.
Participate in the implementation and evaluation of the homes policies and practices.
Assist in the assessment, planning, and implementation of personalised care plans for children and young people.
Promote emotional well-being, safeguarding, and development of all residents.
Support the progression and independence of young people through consistent, trauma-informed care.
Work collaboratively with external professionals (e.g., social workers, therapists, and education staff).
Support new staff through induction and mentoring.
Promote a culture of learning, development, and performance excellence.
Assist with staff supervisions, training, and team meetings.
Help manage team dynamics and resolve conflicts professionally.
Required:
Care Certificate (to be completed within 12 weeks of employment if not already held).
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards / willing to work towards within 2 years of start date).
Must have experience as a team leader and working with children with SEMH needs, autism and LD
Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding responsibilities.
