Location: Swindon, Wiltshire\nContract: Full‑Time, Permanent\nSalary: MPS/UPS\n\nAn ambitious and forward-thinking secondary school in Swindon invites applications for a Design & Technology Teacher—someone ready to guide students through engineering, innovation, and sustainable design from September 2025.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Teach DT across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to deliver KS5 specialist courses\n\n * \n\n Develop and refine engaging project-based units—ranging from consumer products to smart systems\n\n * \n\n Support technical skill development: CAD design, CNC manufacturing, robotics and materials understanding\n\n * \n\n Encourage real-world context through maker challenges, collaboration with industry partners, and practical exhibitions\n\nCandidate Profile\n\n * \n\n Engineering, Design, or Technology degree with QTS\n\n * \n\n Comfortable in a workshop environment supervising machinery safely\n\n * \n\n Engaging, creative, solution-driven educator with strong behavior management\n\n * \n\n Eager to develop departmental initiatives and innovation-focused curriculum\n\nSchool and Department\n\n * \n\n High-quality facilities including laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC routers, and wood & metal workshops\n\n * \n\n Strong technical team, and open-sourced resource sharing\n\n * \n\n Commitment to pupil and staff growth—team-teaching, CPD opportunities, and flexible working
