Workshop Controller / Assistant Aftersales Manager – Vauxhall Romford Branch

As we expand our operations, we are seeking an Workshop Controller / Assistant Aftersales Manager to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our workshop. We are seeking an experienced and committed Assistant Aftersales Manager to work alongside our team of Vehicle Technicians, Apprentices, Service Advisors and our Aftersales Manager.
Position Overview: This key role involves managing the daily activities of the workshop, ensuring the highest standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of our Aftersales department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily activities of the workshop, including loading, job allocations, quality control, and efficiency.
* Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining excellent communication.
* Control work in progress
* Lead and support a team of skilled technicians and service advisors, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
* Maintain the highest standards of service and quality in all workshop operations.
* Manage parts orders, ensuring availability and timely ordering.
* Identify opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a workshop management or senior aftersales advisory role.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Leadership and team management abilities.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
* Proficiency in workshop management software (preferably CDK, Keyloop, Kerridge)

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
