Senior Product Manager – Acquisition & Subscriptions

💷 £85 - £95k + 15% bonus + Benefits
I'm recruiting for a Senior PM role at one of the UK's most-read news brands. They're in the midst of a major transformation, moving from ad-funded to subscription-first, with 300k+ subscribers and ambitious plans to grow this.
The Opportunity
My client is looking for someone who can own end-to-end acquisition strategy, paywalls, pricing, conversion funnels, sign-up journeys, and run experiments that drive significant growth impacts.
The bigger vision? Building a multi-product subscription ecosystem.
What You'll Do
* Lead paywall strategy (metered, dynamic, tiered) and benchmark against best-in-class players
* Design and execute A/B tests on pricing, packaging, mobile payments, and sign-up UX that answer real business questions
* Be heavily critical of the current product, identify friction points, propose solutions, and bring fresh thinking from industry leaders
* Shape the roadmap for future subscription products beyond the core offering
* Partner closely with CRO, data, marketing, editorial, and engineering teams to experiment and deliver growth
What They're Looking For
* Proven track record building or scaling subscription/membership products with measurable growth impact
* Deep expertise in paywalls, pricing models, conversion mechanics, and rigorous A/B testing
* Critical product eye, you can quickly spot what's broken and articulate how to fix it
* Data-driven mindset balanced with user empathy and brand understanding
* Strategic vision for building multi-product futures, not just optimising what exists today
