SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Chorley Area (South Ribble / Lancashire)
Salary: £95.89 - £115.89 Dependent on Experience
Contract: Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)
Job Type: Temporary / Long-term Contract

Catering to children and young people aged 4-19, this small and specialised school of just over 130 pupils takes immense pride in creating a big impact on the lives of its students and their families.

Key Responsibilities as an SEN TA:
- Support pupils aged 4-19 using a highly individualised, "one-size-fits-one" approach to learning.
- Deliver tailored interventions to help pupils develop vital independence and key life skills.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers during the core school day to maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Foster strong, positive relationships with pupils, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
- Assist with the emotional, social, and physical development of pupils, celebrating every milestone.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), or Speech and Language needs.
- Approach: A patient, nurturing, and adaptable individual who understands that no two learners are the same.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to a well-regulated, positive behaviour support environment.
- Availability: Ability to commit to the full school week, working 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
