As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning advanced control systems for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food processing, and chemical processing.
Key Responsibilities
•Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for Siemens, Omron and Mitsubishi platforms
•Create electrical circuit designs, system drawings, and panel layouts using Eplan
•Configure and integrate HMI systems, including Proface
•Work with robotic systems, servo-controlled drive systems, and industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, and DeviceNet
•Conduct on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and system installations
•Support the sales, service, and mechanical teams during initial project design
•Ensure compliance with industry standards, including CE markings, PUWER, and risk assessments
What We’re Looking For
•Proven experience in PLC programming with Siemens, Omron or Mitsubishi
•Ability to design and develop electrical schematics and system layouts using Eplan
•Knowledge of HMI design and integration, preferably with Proface
•Experience working with robotic automation systems
•Understanding of servo-controlled drive systems and industrial communication networks
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
•Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
•A full UK driving licence is required, as the role will involve some travel to client sites
