Clinical Personal Assistant - Hewitt Fertility Centre

The Hewitt Fertility Centre is one of Britain’s largest Reproductive Medicine units providing a comprehensive service to both NHS and fee‑paying patients.
The Centre is wholly committed to delivering a high‑quality service to patients, offering a range of fertility‑related investigations and treatments. An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical PA who is bright, committed, and enthusiastic, with a background in an administration role including PA skills and excellent communication abilities.
Main Duties
The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to designated clinical teams as described in the Service Specification. Duties include diary management, clinical typing, administrative support to consultants and staff, handling clinic correspondence, letters and reports, document creation, leave management, email management, and patient enquiries. The post holder will act as a key interface for patient enquiries, correspondence, and support clinicians in managing clinical pathways, including results and information requests. The role requires filing in patient records in accordance with the Trust Records Management Policy.
Detailed Responsibilities
Provide a professional clinical personal assistant service to an agreed set of clinicians. Deliver a high‑quality clinical typing service using copy typing to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Verify all medical terminology and personal data against patient notes and Digital Summary Care Record where necessary. Provide secretarial support to consultants, junior medical staff, nurses and ANPs. Record data accurately in any system, review admin in a timely manner, manage correspondence with clinicians, maintain up‑to‑date electronic and paper filing systems, and handle patient records per Records Management policies. Take incoming telephone calls, provide telephone answering service for patients, and exercise judgement when dealing with enquiries.
