Position
Senior Specialty Fellow in the HPB unit at Southampton General Hospital. This is a 12‑month fixed term role suitable for a post‑CCT (or equivalent) level surgeon with significant experience in operative and clinical management of complex tertiary HPB surgery patients.
Responsibilities
* Inpatient and outpatient care of complex HPB patients.
* Participation in 2‑3 theatre lists per week, performing complex open and robotic HPB operations.
* Engagement in research and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria:
* Minimum of 6 years of specialty training.
* Relevant higher specialty examination (e.g. FRCP, FRCA, FRCS).
* Portfolio of evidence that demonstrates progression according to the curriculum for the specialty similar to deanery trainee.
* Advanced operative and clinical experience in complex HPB surgery.
Salary & Benefits
Salary will be assessed on experience and skills. Basic salary plus any additional remuneration for extra hours as set out in the doctors work schedule.
