Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Specialist Pharmacist role based at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The Specialist Pharmacist will be responsible for managing the Tayside Area Adult Formulary and providing Medicines Information, as well as working in the local pharnacy Education & Training team.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices, medication therapies, and patient safety protocols
* Experience with prescription review, drug interactions, and medication error prevention
* Proficiency in healthcare team collaboration and effective communication
* Analytical and critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and optimize drug therapies
* Understanding and adherence to regulatory standards and pharmaceutical guidelines
* Registration as a licensed pharmacist with a recognized authority
* Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an asset
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on advancements in pharmacology
