Job Title: Kitchen Assistant at Underley Garden School, part of Options Autism
Purpose of the Role
1. Work within the school to ensure the safe and efficient running of the kitchen and dining facility alongside the Kitchen Team.
2. Assist the Kitchen Manager in maintaining high standards of service for all stakeholders.
3. Support the production of high-quality school lunches, considering the School Food Standards.
4. Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are safe and clean environments for young people, staff, and visitors.
5. Support in meeting standards set by the Environmental Health Agency.
Responsibilities:
1. Produce food to a high standard, supporting in preparation and cooking, in accordance with dietary requirements.
2. Support the wider kitchen team during serving times to ensure smooth lunch periods.
3. Prepare the dining area, including furniture setup, trolley arrangements, and cleaning/disassembly post-service.
4. Prepare service areas and equipment for efficient meal service.
