Head Chef – Frederiks, Hope Street, Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 + perks
Frederiks is a landmark on Hope Street - part bar, part restaurant, part music venue. By day we're laid-back, by night we're alive, hosting everything from Sunday roasts and jazz nights to weddings and DJ sets.
We're looking for a Head Chef who can do more than just run a kitchen. We want someone who will align with our chosen direction for the business, champion our food identity, and make Frederiks famous for the best food in the city

What success looks like
* 30 days: You've got grip on the kitchen, team, and compliance.
* 60 days: Service is sharper, the offer is dialled in, and word-of-mouth is building.
* 90 days: Frederiks is on the map for being one of the best place to eat in Liverpool.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
* Oversee all aspects of food production, from menu planning to ingredient sourcing and dish presentation.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Develop and implement creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels without waste.
* Conduct regular quality checks on dishes before they are served to guests.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
* Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills to foster teamwork within the kitchen.
