Key Responsibilities
* Support the design and engineering of electrical heat tracing systems for industrial projects.
* Identify heat tracing requirements from customers' drawings, specifications and Thermon quotations.
* Create and review design documentation, including isometric drawings, cable schedules, single line diagrams, bills of materials, location and layout plans.
* Use AutoCAD to develop design drawings.
* Collaborate with project managers, CAD technicians and other engineering disciplines to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
* Occasionally participate in site surveys to collect data for design development.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ATEX).
Required Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum qualification of HNC or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Experience in industrial engineering environments.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks for drafting and design coordination.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (piping isometric drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs etc.) and specifications.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
* Exposure to electrical design software or systems (training on heat tracing tools will be provided).
* Understanding of piping systems and insulation components preferred.
* 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably industrial electrical engineering.
