Child Care Solicitor – DerbyThe Opportunity My client, a well-established, multi-service law firm with a strong regional reputation is seeking to recruit an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join its expanding Family and Care team. The Role You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload of child care matters, including both publicly funded and private cases. The role offers high-quality work, autonomy and the chance to play a meaningful role in shaping outcomes for children and families.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a full caseload of public law child care matters
* Representing clients at court hearings, case conferences and key meetings
* Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members
* Building strong professional relationships with local authorities, guardians and other stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including accurate time recording and billing

* Qualified Solicitor with solid experience in child care / public family law
* Member of the Law Society Children Panel
* Confident advocate with excellent communication and client-care skills
* Highly organised, empathetic and proactive in approach
* Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and families
