Business Support Administrator
Edinburgh (Hybrid Working)
Full-time (35 hours) or Part-time Options Available
Contract: 1 August 2025 – 31 July 2026, with possible extension
A dynamic and collaborative team is seeking a proactive and well-organised Business Support Administrator to support core operations across governance, finance, and corporate services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering high-quality administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide general administrative support including meeting planning, coordination, and delivery.
* Process financial transactions (e.g. purchase orders, invoices, card transactions, grant payments) using Oracle Finance or similar systems.
* Monitor budgets and support financial reporting activities.
* Manage and maintain governance and compliance trackers (e.g. travel, expenses, benefits, holidays).
* Support project management processes and documentation.
* Collaborate across multiple teams to support consistent, accurate, and timely service delivery.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Proven experience in a busy administrative role.
* Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Experience with Oracle Finance or similar systems is desirable.
Working Pattern & Location
* Hybrid model: a mix of office and remote work (to be agreed with the manager).
* Flexible hours Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm.
* Occasional travel between offices may be required.
* Overtime is not applicable.
* Applicants must hold a valid Basic Disclosure Certificate.
* Security clearance to Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) is required prior to starting.
