Job Overview

Location: Cop Lane Church Of England Primary School, Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire, PR1 9AE.

Position: Business Support Officer 5.

Type: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. Salary is full‑time equivalent, paid on a pro‑rata basis.


Key Responsibilities

* Plan, develop and implement financial and administrative services.
* Welcome parents and visitors and handle telephone enquiries.
* Maintain accurate records and update systems.
* Follow financial procedures for ordering and invoicing.
* Record dinners, trips and income using school systems.
* Manage invoicing and registers for the school’s breakfast and after‑school club.

Conditions

The successful candidate must be able to multitask, work under pressure and interact effectively with pupils, parents and other professionals.

Experience of school systems such as SIMS.net or SIMS Finance is desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required.
