The Department of Clinical and Professional Development is seeking an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join their team on a 2-year fixed-term contract, working 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the Scottish Borders Health and Social Care Partnership to develop and deliver education on palliative care and care around dying to health and social care staff.
This role involves maintaining a presence in various care environments, delivering direct patient care, and role modeling excellent practice in a coaching capacity. The post holder will assess current practices, incorporate evidence-based approaches, and stay updated with future trends in palliative care. A clinical home within the specialist palliative care unit will be provided to support professional practice.
Requirements include a commitment to lifelong learning, a forward-thinking approach, a teaching qualification or relevant experience in palliative care education, and experience in planning and delivering training sessions.
