Job Description
We are looking to appoint a passionate and nurturing English Teacher to join a small, supportive specialist provision from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a setting where relationships, consistency, and individual progress are at the heart of everything. The Role
* 3 days per week (flexible on days)
* Deliver English across a mixed curriculum (Entry Level to GCSE)
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure all pupils can access learning
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum
About the Provision
* Small, specialist setting supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH
* Classes of up to 9 pupils, supported by additional staff
* Strong focus on relationships, engagement, and personalised learning
* Calm, structured environment with a trauma-informed approach
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be a qualified English Teacher (or ECT)
* Have experience working with, or confidence supporting, pupils with Autism and SEMH
* Demonstrate a trauma-informed, nurturing approach
* Be well organised and a strong forward planner
* Be adaptable, patient, and committed to building positive relationships
* Have an interest in contributing to curriculum development
The Process
We are looking to secure the right candidate quickly:
* Initial visit to the provision and meeting with the Headteacher (ASAP)
* Formal interview including a lesson observation
This process can be arranged promptly to support candidates needing to give notice ahead of the end of May deadline.
